So for many years now the message about sleep and how it affects the body is still at the forefront and one of the biggest talking points in the Health and Fitness industry.


The good thing about sleep is it something we can control and if need be can change to make things better for ourselves. The main thing to remember about sleep though is its not about the amount of time your heads on a pillow, but the amount of quality sleep you are getting.

1. Make sure your getting enough vitamin C in your diet. Foods high in vitamin C, Broccoli, Brussel Sprouts, Cauliflower, Green and Red peppers, Spinach, and other leafy green vegtables.

2. Get enough magnesium in your diet. Foods high in magnesium, Bananas, Raspberries, Nuts, Seeds, Green leafy vegetables, Salmon, Mackerel, Tuna.

3. This one sounds a bit crazy but no Tea or Coffee 6 hours before sleep. Studies have shown that a Tea or Coffee can take away up to an hour of quality sleep during the night.
